Purpose: Configuring Twitter into your app is a way to make your FanX app more all-encompassing. As fans are checking scores, schedules, and highlights in your app, they will also be able to keep up on the latest tweets.

How do Social Accounts Display in the App?

All FanX apps have the ability to pull in Tweets from your different sport accounts.  The Social Feed shows up in 2 ways:

  1. Each game has a "Twitter" tab that will pull in Tweets for that sport.  This allows fans to follow any Twitter or news updates right within the context of the app.
  2. Our apps also come equipped with a "News" card or "Social" card that allow fans to access a feed of Tweets and News right from the home screen on the app.  This feed will filter to each fan's preferences and will only show tweets for their favorite sports.

How to set it up

Step 1:  Navigate to [Operations] -> [News Feed]

Step 2:  Navigate to the Twitter tab to see the all created teams. Type in the username of the account you would like to add to the team - in this case, we are adding the NCAA Twitter account to our default list of accounts. DO NOT include the @ sign before the name.

Step 3:  Click the "ADD" button & then click "SAVE"

  • When the "SAVE" button turns to a green "SAVED!", you have successfully added a twitter account live in the app for the designated team!

PANDA PRO TIP:

  • The "Default" twitter handles only show up if there is nothing added to the individual team's configuration. For example, if the default handle is pandaAllSports and you want that + pandaMBB to show for MBB games, you would need to add both handles to the MBB twitter configuration.
