Purpose: Exclusive Promotions require a code from the user to be able to access the content within the Promotion Card. Here we'll explain how to set up an Exclusive Promotion Card along with best practices and ideas on how to utilize this feature.

How:

  1. Navigate to the Promotions Header and select "Manage Templates"
  2. Create your Promotion Template as normal (see this article for creating promotions)
  3. To enable the code requirement, scroll to the bottom of the screen and check the "Exclusive Content" box
  4. Add the Content Code and Message
  5. Save the Promotion, Schedule, and Publish!


Best Practices:

  • The "Message" section is incredibly important to avoid fan confusion. Make sure you're sharing who would expect to receive the code and how that code will be delivered.
  • Make sure you distribute the code! Whether it's an Alumni email, posted on social, or distributed via push notification, make sure you deliver the code via the method shared in your Exclusive Content Message.
  • Get personal. The Exclusive Promotion Content provides you with the ability to target segments of your fans with content that matters to them. Leverage this by engaging sponsors, campus groups, etc. that align with these segmented fan groups.


Ideas for Where to Share an Exclusive Promotion Code:

  • On season tickets
  • Your newsletter
  • On social
  • Digital Scoreboards During the Game
  • Push notifications
  • Hidden in app content (i.e. roster bio or team info)


Ideas for Exclusive Promotion Content:

  • Early access to things like tickets, hype videos
  • Video Content (uniform reveals, hype videos, etc.)
  • Sponsored Deals
  • Merchandise & Ticketing Discounts
